“It’s like if the #406 met SNL.” – Said no one ever.

Listen: OhKs #25 // Hitler is kind of a dick (2-10-14)

The Oh’s Knows Bros sit down to talk first and foremost, if they each have ever messed around and gotten a triple double. After quickly acknowledging that no, it has not ever happened – if you don’t count NBA Live 2005, they talk about a very impressive win from the Iowa Hawkeyes this past Saturday over the Michigan Wolverines. The guys also talk about going to, and seeing the LEGO Movie, and how amazing it was. This leads into a discussion about how Pixar and Disney movies are definitely made for parents, and not really kids. Pixar somehow leads into talking about Hitler’s art as a child, and how he was kind of a dick. Wrapping things up the guys talk about Parks and Recreation, and compare Hendricks Motorsports to Stewart Haas Racing, talking just a little bit of NASCAR as they prepare for the Daytona 500 in 12 days!

LISTEN: OhKs #24 // Beer, Wine, Sport (1-30-14)

This episode starts out with the guys talking about feeling cultured drinking wine, and drinking craft beer – but then turning back to good ole fashioned Busch Light. They guys also dissect the Hawkeyes loss to Michigan State on Wednesday night and talk about a few people overreacting about the 2 point loss to the 7th ranked team in the country. Wrapping things up the guys talk Super Bowl, prop bets, who wins and why the Bronco’s kicker Matt Prater needs to change his number to 64!

Green Bay Packers v Dallas CowboysAt the top of the episode, Nick is  just checking on the well-being of Adam as the Cowboys lost an absolutely devastating game to the Packers. After trying to figure out what is wrong in Dallas, they talk about the Colts and debate who would win in a head to head matchup right now if the Cowboys played the Colts. The guys also talk about the disappointing loss Friday night in College Basketball with the Cyclones beating our Hawks in Ames and how they still aren’t watching the NBA, yet. Wrapping things up Adam talks about taking the Power Rankings reigns as Nick was busy studying for finals, explains “Ed Wood” to young Nicholas James, and talk this week in television as well as their upcoming travel plans for the Holidays!

Adam is convinced that he controls the outcomes of games, just by watching them. Also, plans on watching “Breaking Bad” again at the start of the New Year – is no longer scared watching episodes before bed.

Nick hasn’t been up to much because he has had things thing called school going on. Also, has been watching a good show called “The Killing” – is still scared to watch “Breaking Bad” before bed.

LISTEN: Oh’s Knows #17 // Nigel “The Leg” Gruff (12-8-13)

Greg-Oden-back-on-the-court.After the awkward elevator weather chat, the guys dive into the week that was in College Football – talking especially about the news of the Iowa Hawkeyes making the Outback Bowl. Speaking of the Hawkeyes, Nick went to go see the Hawks basketball team play against the Drake Bulldogs. After the college talk, they then move on to Professional Sports –  and some fantasy, talking about how the Colts continue to disappoint, Rob Gronkowski continues to get hurt and go over the chances of the Cowboys winning Monday night against the Bears. As the guys wrap things up they hit on all kinds of things like Greg Oden’s playing career, Zach Johnson beating Tiger Woods, “The Replacements” movie, global warming of all things and the USA World Cup Draw!

Adam plans on watching “Road House,” again, this coming week and still can’t figure out this Texas weather. Also, is pretty sure Nick told him that Iowa State wasn’t any good and that the Hawks would roll.

Nick is planning on watching “Skyfall” this week and is still probably trying to figure out a place to hide from the snow. Also, is pretty sure he told Adam that Iowa State wasn’t terrible, and pretty good, and that it would be a good game against the Hawks. But he’s not sure. Either way, be sure to check out the Hawks play the Cyclones this coming Friday the 13th!

52992d542f76e.preview-620What a great weekend to be a Hawkeye! Although the Hawks didn’t win the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament, they competed. And the football team did beat the Huskers on Saturday earning a very impressive 8th win on the season. The guys also talk Thanksgiving happenings, the Dallas Cowboys and Colts victories, the difference between the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit as well as upcoming Christmas plans. They then wrap things up with Nick taking credit for Auburn’s back to back miracle wins and discuss why Twitter is the best, and worst.

Adam didn’t watch much football on Sunday, but did sleep through the first half of the Cowboys game on Thursday and caught the crazy end to the Iron Bowl. Also, is your new Oh’s Knows resident College Football expert after going 9-2 predicting the outcome of the Iowa Hawkeye football season.

Nick was traveling most of the weekend, so he didn’t catch much football – but he was stress free due to this Fantasy Football team not being playoff bound. Also, is your new Oh’s Knows resident Goat after going 5-7 predicting the outcome of the Iowa Hawkeye football season. Yikes.

NCAA Basketball: Battle4Atlantis Championship-Villanova vs IowaNicholas:

BEST // Hawks.

WORST // Coaching blunders late costing teams victories. Cough – Brady Hoke and Nick Saban.

BEST // Being an Iowa Hawkeye.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST // Paul Walker of Fast and Furious fame passes away in a car crash on Saturday. Thoughts with family and friends.
