Why Kurt Busch will not win the Chase in 2014: nscs_kurt_busch.png.main

First of all – Kurt Busch is a hot head, and may not even be the best Busch brother in NASCAR. Ever since he won the Chase in 2004, he’s been out of control. Whether it is wrecking other drivers (Jimmie Johnson), or yelling at/threatening T.V. analysts (ESPN), he’s been completely out of control. He hasn’t really found a home at all, things didn’t go completely as expected for him at Furniture Row Racing and now you think adding him into the loose cannons that are Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick? (Did someone say Bash Brothers?) Plus Danica Patrick who gets all the attention for all the wrong reasons? Let’s set the over/under at 6.5 team meetings once the season starts before Kurt goes on a tirade.

Why Kurt Busch will win the Chase in 2014:

Did you read the quote from “The Natural” above? Let me type it out one more time..

Well you’re better than any player I ever had. And you’re the best God damn hitter I ever saw. Suit up.”

I’m not sure, but I’m pretty sure that is the exact sales pitch Tony Stewart gave Kurt Busch to get him to come to Stewart Haas. Yes. Kurt may not be the best Busch brother on the track every Sunday. But Kyle Busch is freaking really freaking good you know? It wouldn’t be terrible to be second to him. Kurt took a fairly irrelevant team in Furniture Row to.. well relevant. can you imagine if you would give Kurt some legit equipment? The same legit equipment they use over at Hendricks? Well this is the year. It’s coming up on the 10th anniversary of Kurt’s Championship run. And he’s more than tired of coming in second to his little brother. He’s been a more well mannered the past year, and he’s on what may be the most dominant racing team of the coming year. This guy is back, and better than ever.
