Race #26.  That’s where the wheels began to come off.  After the race, the NAPA racing team was celebrating.  Then two days later news broke that they were booted from the Chase.  And just like that it was never the same.  Truex can’t even say he was the best to not make the Chase, finishing 16th.  Then, after the season, NAPA pulled their sponsorship and Truex bolted for the Furniture Row Racing team, formally manned by Kurt Busch.  While Busch did make the Chase last year, Truex is not the same driver and as seen by the end of last year, he’s in a tailspin that will not be ending anytime soon.

Why Martin Truex Jr. will win the chase in 2014:

Truex has something to prove.  If you follow NASCAR as much as we do, then you surely already know that his teammate spun out in order to get him into the field last year.  It seemed to work out just fine too… that is until NASCAR booted Truex from the Chase.  This year will be different though.  Truex is back with a vengeance.  He wants to show everyone he can contend with the top dogs; the best of the best.  After a disappointing end to what would have been his second straight Chase appearance, Truex will be there this year and will be looking to make a statement.
